Jamica Ortiz, Director of Engineering: I was a software engineer for twelve years before making the shift to Engineering Management. Thought Machine's fast-paced growth has provided plenty of opportunities for growth that has accelerated my career in ways that would have been difficult to achieve in other technology companies.

Alice Cao, Back End Engineer: The tech stack at Thought Machine is cutting edge. Coupled with the fact that we are going through a phase of rapid expansion, this makes the work environment very fast-paced.

We have a hybrid policy for employees who wish to spend three days in the office and two at home. We also offer an incentive to employees who work 4+ days in the office.

The first stage of the interview process is our hiring events, which run weekly in our office. Candidates can meet their prospective peers, see the office space and hear our story before investing time into our interview process.

Final interview which is usually 3 stages covering a broad range of topics, for example, a Back End Engineer would complete a code review, algos, and sys design interview.

Non Tech roles:
