Our mission & Values

We are passionate about using our own success and the talent of our staff to benefit others.

We are fortunate to be in a position to make a positive and lasting impact on environmental and societal issues; we consider this a responsibility as much as an opportunity.

Maven has consistently allocated capital and employee time to drive forward initiatives that we are passionate about; whether it’s to address inequality, build a greener future or support educational initiatives in our communities.

In this 40-minute session, hosted by SheCanCode, Steve Janaway, VP of Engineering, Bloom & Wild; Nicole Yip, Principal IT Engineer, Marketing & Channels Technology, The LEGO Group; and Nathan Baggs, Head of Technology Training & Graduates, Maven Securities, take a look at the role of empathy in the workplace and how companies can create an empathetic culture.

Working at Maven

We’re only as strong as the sum of all parts, and Maven’s real edge is the community and culture we have grown amongst our employees. We look out for each other, support creativity and innovation, and share our challenges as a team.

On joining our community, we work with you to really understand how we can help you succeed. We’ll aim to give you access to the latest technology and equipment you need. We like to think of ourselves as much a Tech firm as we are a Trading firm. We aim to keep you challenged and motivated, taking your direction as your interests change.

We’re very fortunate to be able to offer our employees plenty of opportunities but we don’t want to stop there. We’re working to make a change in our wider community and make sure opportunity isn’t restricted to the few. Visit our blog to see our current charitable initiatives.

Meet some of our team

Amanda (Developer)
“I sometimes find being a female developer in fintech quite isolating, but it means a lot to me that Maven has a women-only network and makes sure I have the support I need.”

Austin (Developer, recent graduate from Maven's Graduate Developer Program) "I have just started in a permanent team after finishing the grad program. The grad program was really great and prepared me very well for continuing with Maven. Tech at Maven is very fast paced and you will usually be dealing with a couple of tickets at a time. Due to this you are constantly learning which is very positive."

Claudia (Developer, recent graduate from Maven's Graduate Developer Program) “I enjoy working at Maven as we work with the latest available technologies and look for innovative and efficient ways to solve problems. Most importantly for me, Maven provides a challenging and supportive environment to learn technically and personally, developing essential skills to be well-rounded and successful.”
