First stage – Video/Phone Interview (30-45 minutes)
This is an informal Q&A with one of our Tech Leads to understand the candidate’s skills and experience and to explain the role in more depth. There are some technical questions asked to assess technical ability.
Second stage – Technical Exercise (45 minutes)
There will be 5 mins for an introduction, 30 mins for the exercise, and 10 mins for follow-up questions and wrap-up.
The exercise will be run on the CoderByte platform with some initial sample code and written instructions provided
The exercise will involve writing Javascript code in a simple Node.js environment.
One of the Tech Leads would be present to provide guidance if needed
Final Panel Interview – 9(0 minutes - 2 hours)
The panel will start by introducing themselves and telling the story of Ripjar and describe the role in more depth, which takes about 10 mins
Then they ask the candidate to walk them through their cv and they will ask questions accordingly
In addition to this the panel have some standard questions they ask and some questions they have produced from looking at the CV
Then at the end, there is the opportunity for the candidate to ask the panel any questions they might have.
