TalkTalk Women in Tech Awards 2022

ARTICLE SUMMARY

More than 100 people and teams across the North West have been nominated for this year’s TalkTalk Women in Tech Awards.

Over the summer, TalkTalk invited the public to nominate across six categories – Rising Star, Innovation/Innovator, Tech For Good, Mentor of the Year, Team of the Year and Outstanding Achievement.

Amongst the nominees are Beckie Taylor, Co-Founder of Tech Returners, an organisation helping to provide tech professionals returning to the industry accessible opportunities to refresh their skills; Cheryl Stevens MBE, Director at the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP); and InnovateHer, a learning platform connecting students with real-life industry role models.

The nominations showcase the range, breadth and depth of female talent across the region and a winner in each category will be announced on the awards night.

The awards ceremony will take place on 2nd November and will be hosted by Tristia Harrison, CEO of TalkTalk, with the awards being handed out by entrepreneur Gary Neville.

Launched last year, the awards aim to recognize the outstanding women doing important work across all levels of the North West’s technology industry. By celebrating the successes of women working in tech across the region, TalkTalk aims to support and deliver a roadmap to a more inclusive sector.
