Hey! I’m Virginia, a product leader on a mission to outsmart bad actors and build a safer digital world.
For the past five years, I’ve been living and breathing the identity, fraud, and security space at Entrust. I focused on designing smart systems that use the best of both worlds, advanced machine learning models paired with rule based logic, to stay one step ahead of emerging threats and stop fraud in its tracks. Whether it’s diving into visual signals to detect visual fraud or tracking passive signals to track the integrity of the media and devices used to access a service, my goal is always the same: make life incredibly difficult for fraudsters, and incredibly seamless for real users.
I thrive at the intersection of data, engineering, and human behaviour. I love rallying cross-functional teams, with engineers, data scientists, designers, compliance and growth teams, to build scalable, global products that protect millions of people across fintech, banking, crypto, professional services, retail and other industries.
When I’m not obsessed with edge cases and fraud signals, I’m passionate about opening doors for others. I’m a fierce advocate for women and early career professionals in tech, whether that’s through leading initiatives like Entrust’s Early Careers Alliance or sharing insights on stage at events like Women in Identity.
I love solving complex security puzzles, building tech that builds trust, and making the internet a slightly less stressful place for everyone (except the fraudsters).
