You’re invited to join us for a day of ideation, coding and the creation of solutions that will make a real impact in women’s lives.
Aim of the day
Coinciding with International Women’s Day (IWD) celebrations throughout March, SheCanCode will coordinate the free hackathon in London, providing you with the opportunity to build a solution to help improve women’s safety.
We are proud to be working with Strut Safe to give an insight into the problems that need to be overcome and help guide ideas.
Strut Safe is an initiative to help anyone who feels unsafe when walking in public. The not-for-profit was founded by Rho Chung and Alice Jackson following the murder of Sarah Everard in March of 2021. They have volunteers based across the UK ready to take calls and stay on the line with you until you get in the door.
If you’d like to find out more about Strut Safe or how you can donate, click the button below!
At the end of the day, attendees will present to a judging panel who will select a winning project.
The event is free to attend with catering provided throughout. Goody bags included.
