Around the World: Your ticket to the US tech industry – explore resources, events & more

Around the World - Global Tech Hubs

ARTICLE SUMMARY

Our ‘Around the World’ series will spotlight countries and continents and highlight specific resources and helpful articles for that region.

On our first stop, we’re focusing on the US and we’ll be sharing everything from top women’s networks, events, female role models and career guides.

Silicon Valley in California remains the most prominent US tech hub, with many of the world’s largest tech companies calling it there home – such as Google, Apple, Adobe, LinkedIn, Intel and many more.

But you don’t have to make the move to Silicon Valley to be apart of the booming tech industry in the US. According to a report from Dice, Phoenix, Tampa and Columbus are the top three fastest growing tech hubs by salary. Miami, Boston, Seattle and Portland are also great places to start if you’re interested in a job in tech.

It has also recently been reported that the US government is aiming to turn middle America into new tech hubs, with an initial $500 million investment.
