Stemettes is an award-winning UK-based charity and social enterprise founded in 2013 by Dr Anne-Marie Imafidon MBE.
The organisation is dedicated to addressing the gender imbalance in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) by inspiring and supporting young women and non-binary individuals aged 5 to 25.
Since its inception, Stemettes has reached tens of thousands of young people through a variety of free programs designed to provide early exposure to STEAM careers and relatable role models. Their initiatives range from one-day panels and hackathons to long-term mentoring programs and certification opportunities. They also maintain the Stemette Society, which is a global private social network for those aged 13 to 25.
We provide dedicated resources for parents and teachers to help them nurture STEAM aspirations in young people. Stemettes’ ultimate vision is to ensure that all young women and non-binary people can make informed career decisions, so they are proportionally represented across industry, academia, and entrepreneurship.
