After spending more than 10 years in customer service and customer success roles across the water and repairs and maintenance industries, I made the decision in 2020 to completely retrain and pursue a career in tech.
What began as curiosity while learning Python quickly became a passion for software development and problem solving.
Following a year of independent study, online courses and development bootcamps, including the Code First Girls Full Stack Development degree, I transitioned into tech professionally in 2022. I now work as a Solution Consultant at Sahaj Software, working across multiple technologies including TypeScript, Node.js, React, React Native and C#/.NET.
Since entering the industry, my role has grown from a junior developer focused on learning and delivery to leading initiatives, contributing to solution and architecture design, collaborating directly with clients, and supporting engineering improvements across teams. I enjoy taking on new challenges, continuously learning, and helping make tech feel more accessible to others considering non-traditional routes into the industry.
