Kubrick prides itself on having built a workforce that reflects the world around us, and a culture that allows all employees to thrive in a respectful and supportive environment.
Diversity and inclusion are central to what they do, so much so they’ve made ‘Diversity over Homogeneity’ one of their core values. They respect the differences in others and understand the importance of diverse thoughts, experiences, backgrounds, and perspectives when formulating new ideas and creating solutions. They believe everyone should have equal opportunities to enter data and technology and are committed to increasing diversity within the industry, in terms of gender, race, sexuality, mental health, neurodivergence, disabilities, and attracting people from low social mobility groups. Kubrick’s assessment process is designed to be as inclusive as possible, and the recruitment team regularly undergo training to ensure they treat each candidate fairly and without bias. They are committed to ensuring that all candidates have an equally positive experience, and equal chances for success regardless of any personal characteristics. In terms of advertising, most of Kubrick’s content is geared towards diversity and inclusion and all job adverts are designed to be inclusive to people from all backgrounds. They also run targeted adverts which are aimed solely at female graduates and a monthly podcast that explores diversity in all forms, which is hosted by a female member of staff.
Kubrick has a strong partnership with Women in Data and advertise all roles through job boards such as STEM women. In March they participated in Women in Data’s flagship event, where they delivered a series of talks and workshops that are open to female candidates. They also took part in STEM Women’s London Graduate Careers Event, which are designed to promote roles to female candidates and build brand awareness around opportunities in data and tech. Lastly, they have launched an internal women’s network ELEVATE, a network for women and non-binary individuals, as well as their allies.
This network aims to reach, engage, and meaningfully support women and non-binary individuals employed across Kubrick, especially consultants when deployed on client site and drive representation of women at more senior levels within Kubrick.
In terms of Kubrick’s model, they offer equal opportunities to all consultants through salaried, training designed and delivered by our in-house team of data and technology professionals. They are transparent with their salaries, which increases every six months. They require no relevant degree or experience to join their practices meaning everyone has an equal opportunity to start a career in data and tech regardless of their background, which is particularly appealing to female candidates who often won’t apply to a role unless they have 60% or more skills listed.
Once consultants are on site, they have access to ongoing development opportunities including an online learning platform and paid-for accreditation. Throughout consultants are supported by Kubrick’s dedicated team of Consultant Success Managers who support them whole way through their journey at Kubrick; helping them navigate their career path and providing additional guidance where necessary. Kubrick’s unique blend of salaried training with guaranteed position post-training, ongoing development, and dedicated support is particularly appealing to female candidates.
