Senior Software Engineer – Spain, Remote

We are responsible for continuously evolving and maintaining the Product Detail Pages (PDPs), ensuring they are scalable and reliable on VistaPrint Official Website: Online Printing Services. What You Will Do:

As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll be a key member of a collaborative team, working together to understand the business domain and shape our technical direction. While you'll have the autonomy expected of a senior role, our success comes from delivering amazing results together

 

• Build Our Core Experience: Our team designs, develops, and maintains the services and components that power Vista's Product Detail Pages. You will play a crucial part in these efforts, partnering closely with product managers, UX designers, and fellow engineers to translate business needs into robust, high-quality technical solutions.
• Elevate Our Craft: We are committed to continuous improvement. A key part of your role will be to elevate our team's engineering practices by actively contributing to code reviews and architectural discussions, embodying our principle to "leave things better than you found them."
• Take Collective Ownership: As a team, we live by the principle of "You build it, you run it." We are all accountable for the products we create, and as a Senior Engineer, you will champion this by ensuring the solutions we build together are reliable, scalable, and maintainable.

• Location: You reside in a CET ±2 hours time zone.
• Work Attitude: You demonstrate a collaborative yet autonomous mentality. You thrive in a remote-first, synchronous work environment where teamwork and ownership are key.
• Collaboration: You have excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a desire to work effectively within a cross-cultural team.
• Programming Languages: You are proficient in at least one major programming language, preferably TypeScript or JavaScript.
• Engineering Principles: You have a strong engineering mentality focused on writing clean, maintainable, and testable code.
• Architecture: You have extensive knowledge in (micro)service-oriented architecture, distributed systems, and Web APIs. Experience with server side rendering and micro-frontends architectures would be a plus. 
• Cloud & Security: You are familiar with cloud environments (we use AWS) and security best practices.

 

Nice to Have:

• Previous experience working in cross-functional product teams.
• Previous experience or familiarity with the E-Commerce and/or Mass Customization industry.
• Familiarity with Lean and Agile Software Development practices.
• Previous experience building experiences using TypeScript, Node.js, and React.
• Ability to provision, run, and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) in AWS.
• Previous experience building software that is scalable, reliable, testable, and maintainable.
