We’re a hybrid business, which means you’ll have flexibility alongside time together with your team. In this role, you can expect 1 day per fortnight in our Leicester office, helping you stay connected, collaborate and do your best work for our customers.
This will increase during programme preparation and implementation times.

 

What you’ll be doing

The SAP HCM system for the past few years has been undergoing a major transformation to take it from just servicing payroll for over 12,000 colleagues to being a master source of people data to support interfaces into other systems currently including, time and attendance, learning, expenses, the company portal and many others. Also, ongoing work is in progress to position the data within the system to be moved to SuccessFactors implementation.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the Payroll and HR teams by leveraging their expertise in SAP solutions across various components of Payroll and HR processes. They will collaborate with Line of Business departments to facilitate the effective implementation of system changes, ensuring alignment with operational needs and compliance requirements.

The HCM Consultant will be a member of a small hybrid team providing functional consultancy to business stakeholders, take a lead role in the design of providing new functionality, module configuration, integration with SAP & non-SAP applications, supporting BAU activities and supporting the delivery manager to co-ordinate system maintenance activities with other teams that provide development and Basis support.

The HCM Consultant role is a functional role and as such covers most of the activities involved in supporting the existing system, developing new functionality and knowledge transfer/training to other team members and the wider business community. Knowledge & experience of Jira in Kanban would be advantage. This role will be critical for the migration from HCM payroll to SuccessFactors and additional modules on the roadmap. The success of the HR workstream of Future Fit program will be measured on moving smoothly to a world where Employee Central is system of record for personal, organisational and contractual data for employees and that people are paid correctly and on time.

Also, the HCM consultant is expected to keep the system up to date with legislative changes (SAP notes, patching) and providing guidance and advice for colleagues based on previous experience.

 

What we’ll look for in you

The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate their knowledge of the SAP modules mentioned and confidently guidance on SAP roadmaps, approaches and experience gained in changes to the system (functionality and data) and managing business user/stakeholder expectations.

Good use of Microsoft products would be required especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Regular use of Microsoft Access or other database products would be beneficial for analysing/preparing data for supporting relevant projects.

We are looking for a functional HCM/SuccessFactors consultant who has deep skills & experience of:

 Must have:

  • SAP HCM Payroll configuration & processes
  • Employee Central and how it integrates with SAP EC payroll
  • Personnel administration in SAP HCM
  • Time management

Nice to have:

  • Benefits administration
  • SAP Org Management
  •  Other SuccessFactors modules like recruitment and onboarding, performance and goals, learning.
  • HR ABAP for current SAP HCM and SF payroll debugging
  • Appreciation of interfaces architecture (SAP PO & BTP)
