ARTICLE SUMMARY

What better time to champion diversity and inclusion and shine a spotlight on female engineers, than International Women in Engineering Day?

International Women in Engineering Day celebrates all the amazing work that women engineers across the globe are doing. This year’s theme is #MakeSafetySeen. INWED gives women in engineering around the world a profile when they are still hugely under-represented, with 2021 figures indicating that in the UK only 16.5% of engineers are women.

Below, we’ve pulled together a few ideas on how you and your company can mark the day and beyond.

You can also discover all the opportunities available in tech engineering in our ‘Working as an Engineer in Tech: Taster Session’. This session will give you a broad understanding of what it takes to pursue a career in engineering and offer valuable insights into the tech industry.
