Hi there!
I’m Ariella, a Software Engineer at Moonpig with a passion for creating a supportive environment for people starting their careers in tech.
My interest in computing began when my dad introduced me to the world of coding when I was a kid. In 2021 I graduated with a BSc in Computer Science and got my first entry-level role in the tech industry.
Two years later, I was promoted from an Associate to a Software Engineer, an achievement I am so proud of!
Along with my day job, one of my key initiatives is building the Moonpig Early Careers Community. This is a safe space where newcomers can learn, share experiences, and make connections.
Alongside this, I help organise workshops led by senior professionals for the community, covering various technical and soft skill topics. Seeing the community grow has been incredibly rewarding. I am also co-host the Moonpig Tech Podcast. Public speaking is something I find a challenge, if you were to tell Ariella five years ago that she would be co-hosting a podcast she would not believe you! The podcast is a public platform to showcase our work and inspire others. It’s been such a valuable experience, allowing me to share exciting insights and innovations on the amazing stuff we do at Moonpig.
Being considered for the Early Careers Tech Champion Award is such an honour! I’m so grateful for the recognition and see this as a chance to inspire others to build a supportive tech culture for early career engineers within their organisations.
