Celebrate International Women’s Day at SheCanCode’s Power Hack

International Women's Day Power Hack 2025

ARTICLE SUMMARY

SheCanCode, Natilik, Just IT and Refuge have partnered for a hackathon with the goal of enhancing women’s safety.

You’re invited to join us for a day of ideation, coding and the creation of solutions that will make a make a real impact in women’s lives.

Aim of the day

Coinciding with International Women’s Day (IWD) celebrations throughout March, SheCanCode will coordinate the free hackathon in London, providing you with the opportunity to build a solution to help improve women’s safety.

We are proud to be working with Refuge to help give an insight into the problems that need to be overcome and help guide ideas.

Refuge is the largest single provider of specialist services to survivors of domestic, sexual and gender-based abuse and runs the freephone, 24-hour National Domestic Abuse Helpline that provides the first step to women escaping abuse.

While SheCanCode is committed to keeping our events accessible and free, we kindly ask for a small donation to support Refuge. Your contribution helps us pay it forward and make a meaningful impact.

At the end of the day, attendees will present to a judging panel who will select a winning project.

Please bring your laptop, chargers and any other equipment you like working with on the day.
