Over the last year, I have displayed resilience, adaptability, and leadership in the face of significant personal and professional challenges.

Returning from maternity leave to start a new job in a foreign country presented unique obstacles, but I tackled them with determination and strategic planning.

This is my second maternity leave and the fourth country where I have worked, including India, Denmark, Singapore, and now the UK. Adapting to diverse cultural norms in Asia and Europe was challenging. Despite English being common in the tech sector, workplace practices, communication styles, and expectations varied. I overcame this by immersing myself in the local culture, seeking advice from colleagues, and welcoming feedback, which helped me adjust and inspired other women facing similar challenges.

Reintegrating into the fast-paced tech industry after a break was another significant challenge. During my time away, substantial advancements in technology and methodologies occurred. Recognizing the need to bridge this knowledge gap, I committed to continuous learning and professional development. I completed online courses and earned certifications in AWS Cloud, Python, Java, Google Cloud, and Azure artificial intelligence. This helped me stay up to date with industry trends and showed the importance of lifelong learning, especially for women reentering the workforce after a break.
