Write for us

At SheCanCode, we have a close-knit community of women in tech who share their advice through our platform. We are always on the lookout for more writers who can share their expertise.

If you have an idea for a blog post that you think would interest our community, we’d love to hear from you.

Below you can find some guidelines and what we’re looking for.

Whom will you be writing for?

SheCanCode’s community ranges from females who are experienced candidates searching for their next role to women considering a move into a tech career for the first time. Our audience predominately consists of women working in their first or second tech roles.

What can you write about?

  • Technical content – we’re looking for content addressing topics such as languages, frameworks, and technologies. This can include new trends, changes, updates, architectures, and more.

  • Best practice – we’re looking for content that shares tips and advice about the way your team works, such as agile working, or any other best practices you can share about creating a high-performing tech team.

How does our content process work?

The article ideas we receive are reviewed on a monthly basis, and you’ll hear from a member of our team if we’d like you to move forward and create a first draft for us.

If your article idea has been selected, we will be in touch about the next steps and a timeline for you to write your article within.

What does SheCanCode offer?

If we choose your article for publication, we’ll offer you support to get your piece through to publication. After your first draft is submitted, it will be edited by one of our in-house editors, who will work with you to create the final article.

We share the final piece across our social channels and out to our community.
