Originally coming from a background in Nursing, I transitioned into Software Engineering a year ago.
The decision was fuelled by a mix of curiosity, the love for learning and the need for a new direction in life. Despite loving my nursing career, I chose to start my journey by completing an intensive bootcamp with Bright Network Technology Academy and then returned three months later as an Assistant Trainer.
I’ve been at my current job for just over 6 months and have thoroughly enjoyed teaching students and learning about them. This could stem from my previous career but understanding each student and their support needs as well as finding the right tools to help each individual is something I integrate on my day to day.
