The CRUMBS Project changes the lives of vulnerable and disadvantaged adults through ‘training for independence,’ empowering them to lead fulfilling lives.
From our training centre in Bournemouth, we deliver hospitality-based training programmes, endorsed by the Institute of Hospitality, in Food Production & Service, Housekeeping, Administration, and Digital Skills. We work with around 30 disadvantaged adults a year aged between 18-70 who have disabilities, mental health conditions, stabilised addictions, or acquired brain injuries. We educate and support trainees to develop professional skills for work and personal skills to live more independently. Our trainees learn about cooking, foods, and nutrition to help improve their health and well-being, and we incorporate lessons on how to support neurodiverse colleagues in their training.
