Originally from Thailand, also known as the Land of Smiles, I moved to the UK just in time for the Covid lockdown.
During the lockdown, I began learning to code, a decision that marked the beginning of my journey into the tech industry. Two years ago, I made a career switch from Supply Chain Management (SCM) to Tech and was warmly welcomed by Zurich Insurance. Despite lean management being the only shared concept between SCM and DevOps, I embraced the challenge.
The growth mindset culture within the Mendix team at Zurich Insurance provided me with the opportunity to develop web applications on the Mendix platform, progressing from a novice to obtaining an advanced certificate.
I thoroughly enjoy my roles both as a developer and as a technical lead in the project team, as well as leading an enthusiastic operations and small change team. I am a firm believer in teamwork, convinced that together we can grow and succeed as a cohesive unit.
My passion for technology is driven by the constant opportunity to learn new things every day. I strive to nurture my team members with our growth mindset culture, emphasizing the benefits of developing skills and knowledge. My goal is to become a responsible and capable developer, to encourage more individuals to pursue careers in STEM and technology, and to inspire others to step out of their comfort zones and unlock their hidden potential.
By sharing my journey and working in a tech role today, I hope to give others the courage to believe that they too can make a similar transition if they so desire.
