RISE (Reinforcing Inclusion through Solidarity & Equality) is SEGA Europe’s employee-led cultural and ethnicity network, founded to create a more inclusive and supportive environment for colleagues of minority ethnic backgrounds while encouraging broader cultural awareness across the organisation.
Since its inception, RISE has evolved into a key driver of inclusion within SEGA Europe, working closely with leadership to influence internal initiatives, policies, and engagement. The network has delivered a range of impactful activities, including panel discussions, awareness campaigns, and events aligned with key cultural moments such as Black History Month and International Women’s Day.
RISE also focuses on external impact, most notably through its annual ‘Intro to Gaming’ workshop, which provides high-risk students with exposure to careers in the games industry and helps create more accessible pathways into tech.
Through a combination of internal advocacy and external outreach, RISE has helped foster a more inclusive culture, increased awareness of diversity and representation, and are working to create meaningful opportunities for future talent to engage with the industry.
