Ada Developers academy

Ada’s mission is to prepare women and gender expansive adults to be software developers while advocating for inclusive and equitable work environments. Their tuition-free training program includes a collaborative learning environment, individualised support and an applied learning internship.

Their Core program has graduated over 1,200 students. Their alumni have gone on to become senior-level developers, impactful leaders and technologists at Amazon, Microsoft, Oracle and more.

Code First Girls

Code First Girls are on a mission to close the gender gap in tech by providing employment through free education.

They’ve already helped more than 200,000 women learn to code and by working with companies globally, they’re boosting employability, diversity and social mobility.

They also empower businesses to close both the gender and digital skills gaps with their curriculum, paving the way for a more inclusive and skilled industry.

Codebar

codebar is a charity that facilitates the growth of a diverse tech community by running free regular programming workshops for minority groups in tech.

Their goal is to enable people from underrepresented groups to learn programming in a safe and collaborative environment and expand their career opportunities. To achieve this they run free regular workshops, regular one-off events and try to create opportunities for students making technology and coding more accessible.

codespace

Codespace is an affordable flexible bootcamp co-designed and co-delivered with industry.

This unique course is split in to two parts: the first part is completely FREE, you can build up your skills in your own time and find out if coding is for you. This course blends together front and back-end development modules, with career support. It’s delivered completely online, and is designed so you don’t have to give up work completely to take part.

_nology

_nology is an award-winning, diversity-first tech training and talent provider tackling the global digital skills and diversity gaps across the UK and Australia. They provide fully funded, remote training programmes that remove financial barriers and equip candidates with hands-on skills in Software and Cloud Engineering, supported by industry-recognised certifications. Candidates receive 18-month paid placements with leading employers across banking, energy, government, and retail.

northcoders

Northcoder’s is a diverse digital community with a mission to change lives for the better. They strive to provide the tech industry with the people it needs, while providing life-changing opportunities to people from all walks of life. Their bootcamps help people from all backgrounds transform their careers by teaching them the skills they need to become full-stack software developers or data engineers. They also offer flexible payment plans to work best for your situation.

SheCodes

Women hold just 25% of all coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. SheCodes aims to bridge this gap. SheCodes provides a safe and supportive learning environment, empowering women to gain relevant knowledge for today’s tech job market.

The SheCodes community fosters collaboration and support, helping women break into the industry with confidence.

Sparta Education

Sparta Education are all about turning potential into power. They are an EdTech platform providing free, flexible access to bootcamp-style training and structured career pathways in AI, Data, and DevOps.

Open to all but targeted at under-represented and disadvantaged groups, Sparta Education removes cost, location, and timing barriers to digital skills learning. 

Staffs Computing Society

Staffs Computing Society is a free, student-led and funded tech society at the University of Staffordshire with over 130 members, focusing on diversifying tech, upskilling students of all ages and encouraging employability across the country. They actively host events, volunteer to help underrepresented students break into the industry and partner with companies to bring opportunities straight to students.

Tech Up Programme

TechUPWomen is a multi award winning, trailblazing programme developed closely with industry, which takes women from underserved groups and retrains them into tech careers.

Their entry level programme was developed with tech industry partners and accredited from The British Computer Society.
