Hi, I’m Kaya, I originally come from Poland, but my journey with IT started exactly when I moved to the UK to obtain a degree in Computer Science.
What helped me make the most of my university time was a project focused on chest X-Ray Image Classification using Neural Networks which addressed the context of the global pandemic. Trying this new field of Machine Learning kept me open to challenges and with this approach I have landed my first job in Redgate as Software Engineer. Initially I joined a team working on improving Postgres experience in Redgate Monitor but quickly enough I had an opportunity to choose whether I want to address a new business need and introduce new technology to our tool which would be Oracle, MySQL and MongoDB. In our team, we worked over a year to bring all 3 platforms in parallel to life to reflect high standards of the existing product. As a result of this dynamic process, we expanded Redgate Monitor with the possibility of monitoring additional 3 different databases, and our next challenge is focused on exploring Oracle further and understanding in-depth its fascinating architectonics.
