What’s the role

As a Wellhead Maintenance Operations Technician (WHM Ops Tech), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the correct execution of both onshore and offshore Wellhead Maintenance (WHM) work.

In this role, you will execute all possible maintenance and repairs on all types of X-mas trees and Wellheads within the NAM. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the safe execution of WHM work programs according to described procedures and applicable laws and regulations.

You will be a valued member of the WHM team operating from our well services base in Hoogezand.

The core of the work from the Well Services department consists of performing well maintenance, production optimization and well suspension. This is mainly done through wireline, wellhead maintenance with the support of the workshop. The team provides important support to our assets and has unique expertise, knowledge and skills in the industry. It is used both onshore and offshore at our locations and is seen as ‘best in class’ industry wide.

What you’ll be doing

In addition to the responsibilities mentioned above, you will:

• Actively promote HSSE and Sustainable Development (SD) in all activities, ensuring compliance with business principles. You will also contribute to the development of annual safety goals and action plans
• Provide support to operation departments with various activities
• Operate all WHM equipment such as specialized equipment, Torque machines, , Compressors, Trucks, Vans and trailer etc.

Dimensions:

• Location: field based (on and offshore)
• On-site Time Requirements: standard field hours, with possible overtime/weekend
• Off hours calls – No, normally not required

*Currently, a review is ongoing towards our CWI Hoogezand Base activities (Incl Staff, Equipment and Services). This review includes various options including outsourcing. A decision is expected mid-2025. In case of outsourcing, this position and the incumbent will be in scope to transfer to the new owner.

What you bring

• Technical experience and/or commitment to developing skills via the accredited OPITO competence management system for WHM:
  • Knowledge in maintenance X-mas trees and Wellheads (multiple brands)
  • Knowledge X-mas tree related internals items, spare parts
  • Knowlegde in different type of hydraulic actuators
  • Knowledge in reading / supply of X-mas tree / wellhead drawings and bill of materials
  • Knowledge with material request
• Technical education MBO or equivalent
• Business IT knowledge: Microsoft office 365 (Excel, Word etc.)
• Enthusiastic and strong drive to actively contribute during onsite execution
• Contribute to the improvement of WHM Tools, Trucks and other related WHM equipment
• Language proficiency: Dutch and English
• In the possession of the following certificates (or willing to achive)
  • VCA-VOL
  • Driving license, BE, CE
  • Forklift certificate
  • cherry picker certificate
