What we’re looking for
We’re looking for motivated, intelligent individuals to join our close-knit engineering team for 3 or 6 months internships. If you have the willingness to learn and be an awesome teammate, we’d love to hear from you!
At FundApps you’ll see the inner workings of a fast-growing, bootstrapped scale-up. You will have as much support and responsibilities as anyone else in the team, working on real-life problems. You won’t be micromanaged or put on a side project but embedded in one of our teams from day one.
The Role
We’ve got opportunities across a number of teams and skills set so if you have a passion for back end, front end, security we’d love to hear from you. The following should give you an idea of what you could work on and what skills we value but we don’t expect you to tick every box.
We require permission to work in the UK without sponsorship.
Our core technologies
- Front-end: React, TypeScript
- Back-end: C#
- Data storage: PostgreSQL, SQL Server and S3.
- Infrastructure: Terraform and AWS, using Fargate, Lambda, Step functions, and a lot more!
- Pipeline: Github Actions, TeamCity and Octopus Deploy
What Past Interns Have Worked On
- Our ground-breaking rules engine for monitoring investment compliance
- Designing modern web experiences and APIs for our clients
- Collaborating with our Client Services team to build the features that our clients want
- Developing functionality across our stack, from AWS infrastructure to React components
- Transforming the design and user experience of our beloved product – working closely with our senior FE developers, UX & visual designer, product experts, customers and the rest of our technical team.
- Security alert detection and response
- Threat hunting
- Incident response simulation
What You’ll Bring To The Team
- Currently studying a computer science qualification or equivalent
- Super hungry to learn software engineering practices and get stuck in
- And either:
- Demonstrable ability to code with a mark-up language such as HTML
- Comfortable or keen to learn styling a website with CSS
- Basic knowledge of JavaScript, Reactjs and Typescript
- OR:
- A passion for back-end related work, with experience in C# (or a desire to learn it and relevant experience in another language such as Java)
- Demonstrable ability to code

Salary
We offer a salary of £40,000 / year which will be pro-rated to the duration of your internship with us.
Work Eligibility
We require candidates to have permission to work in the UK without visa sponsorship.
We work hybrid and ask that new FundAppers to spend at least 3 days per week at our shiny London office.
