IWD Power Hack: Improving Women’s Safety

Improving women's safety hackathon

ARTICLE SUMMARY

SheCanCode, founders & coders, Codebar and girls talk London partnered for a free hackathon with the goal of enhancing women's safety.

Our amazing attendees joined us at Dojo’s offices in London to create solutions designed to make a real impact in women’s lives. These include ideas such as apps and web hosting solutions for finding the safest route home and ways to alert emergency contacts if you don’t make it home at the intended time.

The day was made possible by the support of our sponsors Dojo, Automata, Kobalt, Checkatrade, and SuperAwesome who also provided us with some talented tech mentors to support the attendees throughout the day.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, for your incredible work throughout the day and to our community partners, sponsors, and volunteers who made it all possible.

We look forward to welcoming you all at the next one.

Below are a selection of images from the day.
