Ada’s mission is to prepare women and gender expansive adults to be software developers while advocating for inclusive and equitable work environments. Their tuition-free training program includes a collaborative learning environment, individualised support and an applied learning internship.

Afghan Geeks

Afghan Geeks is a mission-driven engineering company.

They build secure, high-quality digital products that help clients achieve real business results — and reinvest our success into education, mentorship, and career pathways for Afghan talent.

Code First Girls

Code First Girls are on a mission to close the gender gap in tech by providing employment through free education.

They’ve already helped more than 200,000 women learn to code and by working with companies globally, they’re boosting employability, diversity and social mobility.

They also empower businesses to close both the gender and digital skills gaps with their curriculum, paving the way for a more inclusive and skilled industry.

Codebar

codebar is a charity that facilitates the growth of a diverse tech community by running free regular programming workshops for minority groups in tech.

Their goal is to enable people from underrepresented groups to learn programming in a safe and collaborative environment and expand their career opportunities. To achieve this they run free regular workshops, regular one-off events and try to create opportunities for students making technology and coding more accessible.

Codeop

CodeOp was founded in 2018 to help solve the gender disparity problem in the tech space. They are the first international tech school for women, transgender, and non-binary individuals (women+) who want to transition to, or upskill in tech.

CodeOp are here to provide the safe space, training, and resources needed to encourage, support, and equip women+ with the skills they need to thrive in the tech industry. In doing so, they aim to change the culture of tech worldwide.

codespace

Codespace is an affordable flexible bootcamp co-designed and co-delivered with industry.

This unique course is split in to two parts: the first part is completely FREE, you can build up your skills in your own time and find out if coding is for you. This course blends together front and back-end development modules, with career support. It’s delivered completely online, and is designed so you don’t have to give up work completely to take part.

django girls

Django Girls is a non-profit organization that empowers and helps women to organize free, one-day programming workshops by providing tools, resources and support. Our goal is to bring more amazing women into the world of technology and increase the diversity in the Django community. We believe that technology is for people and everyone should be able to build it. We are making technology more approachable by creating simple tools and resources designed with empathy.

Founders and Coders CIC is a UK-based non-profit that develops and runs tuition-free, peer-led training programmes in web development, guided by our core values of cooperation, inclusion and social impact.

In the last two years, 57% of their London intake were women. In their experience, cohorts thrive when teams represent a diversity of experiences and perspectives, providing many opportunities for people to learn new ways of thinking from each other.

Girl Develop It is a non-profit devoted to getting women the materials they need to pursue careers in software development. GDI provides affordable programs for women interested in learning web and software development in a judgment-free environment.

Just IT empower women in technology by providing skills, confidence, and support through industry-recognised training, mentorship, and a strong community. Their mission is to bridge the gender gap in IT and create a more inclusive industry, shaping the future of tech.

Kal Academy

Kal Academy is dedicated to providing women and under-represented minorities with the skills and tools they need to thrive in today’s tech industry. Their coding classes are designed to support people who have jobs, kids, and busy lives, at an affordable cost.

laboratoria

Laboratoria is an organisation empowering women who dream of a better future to start and grow careers in technology. It seeks this through totally remote bootcamps, focused on technical and life skills, aimed at women who haven’t been able to start their careers.

After the bootcamp, Laboratoria guides their graduates to find quality jobs in the tech sector. 

They also have a powerful community who are each playing a key role in a more diverse and competitive digital economy.

Next Chapter

Next Chapter, a social venture of Tides Center, transforms the tech sector by creating sustainable employment pathways for people returning from incarceration. About 2.5 million people are currently imprisoned in the U.S. Once released, the unemployment rate among formerly incarcerated individuals is nearly five times higher than that of the general population.

Through Next Chapter, the tech sector has the unique opportunity to offer meaningful career paths, build their talent pipelines, and reduce recidivism.

_nology

_nology is an award-winning, diversity-first tech training and talent provider tackling the global digital skills and diversity gaps across the UK and Australia. 

They provide fully funded, remote training programmes that remove financial barriers and equip candidates with hands-on skills in Software and Cloud Engineering, supported by industry-recognised certifications. Candidates receive 18-month paid placements with leading employers across banking, energy, government, and retail.

northcoders

Northcoder’s is a diverse digital community with a mission to change lives for the better.

They strive to provide the tech industry with the people it needs, while providing life-changing opportunities to people from all walks of life.

Their bootcamps help people from all backgrounds transform their careers by teaching them the skills they need to become full-stack software developers or data engineers. They also offer flexible payment plans to work best for your situation.

otermans institute

Otermans Institute (OI) is a UK-based research-led AI organisation specialising in human-centered AI and digital learning for underserved communities. For over 5 years, OI has pioneered “voice-first” and “offline-first” platforms that bridge literacy and connectivity gaps, serving learners in 17 countries. Its participatory co-creation approach with users, NGOs and governments ensures cultural relevance, capacity building and sustainable adoption. They have been funded previously by top UK bodies like Innovate UK. Most recently, they are upskilling 180,000+ learners in Kenya on AI literacy.

School of Code

School of Code is about opening the opportunity of tech up to everyone. Their free coding bootcamp takes you from 0 to programmer and ready to launch into a career in tech!

You’ll be trained in the industry best practices and standards, and they will help you to get a foothold in the tech industry. On top of creating software to solve real-world problems, you’ll receive training to be confident and job-ready.

SheCodes

Women hold just 25% of all coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. SheCodes aims to bridge this gap. SheCodes provides a safe and supportive learning environment, empowering women to gain relevant knowledge for today’s tech job market.

The SheCodes community fosters collaboration and support, helping women break into the industry with confidence.

Sparta Education

Sparta Education are all about turning potential into power. They are an EdTech platform providing free, flexible access to bootcamp-style training and structured career pathways in AI, Data, and DevOps.

Open to all but targeted at under-represented and disadvantaged groups, Sparta Education removes cost, location, and timing barriers to digital skills learning. 

Staffs Computing Society

Staffs Computing Society is a free, student-led and funded tech society at the University of Staffordshire with over 130 members, focusing on diversifying tech, upskilling students of all ages and encouraging employability across the country. They actively host events, volunteer to help underrepresented students break into the industry and partner with companies to bring opportunities straight to students.

Stemettes

Stemettes is an award-winning social enterprise working across the UK, Ireland and beyond to support girls, young women and non-binary young people into Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths careers. Their mission is to engage, inform and connect the next generation of women and non-binary people into STEAM by showcasing a diversity of people working in STEAM.

Tech Up Programme

TechUPWomen is a multi award winning, trailblazing programme developed closely with industry, which takes women from underserved groups and retrains them into tech careers.

Their entry level programme was developed with tech industry partners and accredited from The British Computer Society.

TechSwitch

TechSwitch was founded in 2019 on the belief that great software developers can come from any background. 

They are passionate about encouraging greater diversity and inclusion in tech and helping people to retrain for a new career by providing accessible routes into the industry is something they are proud to be involved in.

The Grace Hopper Program

The Grace Hopper Program at Fullstack Academy is an immersive software engineering bootcamp for women and non-binary students. Their mission is to empower women through affordable education, quality instruction, and individualised mentorship.
