Sarah Willett is on a mission to help people whose life commitments have taken over, rediscover their creative mojo and put the fire back in their belly.

Sarah knows too well that society’s definition of success can prevent us from fulfilling our true ambitions. After 17 years in graphic design—where she often felt more like an order taker than a strategic thinker—she decided to take a courageous leap and pivot her career into User Experience design.

Sarah is now a Graduate Innovation Designer at IBM, where she creates AI-powered tools through human-centred design. She blends her creative background with emerging technologies to design solutions that empower people rather than replace them.

It wasn’t an easy or linear journey—she trained and qualified as a professional nail technician, dabbled in brand strategy, and faced the fear of failure head-on, all whilst juggling financial constraints and family commitments.

You can follow her on Instagram @‌the.willett.way, where she helps reignite that lost curiosity, encourages creative confidence, and ultimately offers hope that it’s never too late to fulfil your creative ambitions.

This is by no means the “right way,” but it certainly is THE WILLETT WAY!
