I graduated from Imperial College London in 2021, with a Chemistry MSci degree.
During my time studying Chemistry, half of my time was spent under my fume hood, the other half was spent at the Imperial College Enterprise Lab, trying to develop an idea for the travel tech industry —a portable dual-action water filter to reduce plastic water bottle consumption abroad whilst ensuring potable water quality.
From developing a business model to pivoting to pitching and competing, I got thrown into the thrilling world of startups where the constant flow of innovative ideas, the autonomy, the strong team and collaborative spirit was invigorating. This experience was the major driver of my entry into tech. At the end of my degree, I felt I hadn’t quite fulfilled my curiosity, and I wanted to learn more.
Soon after I graduated, I found myself transitioning from a background rooted in scientific exploration to navigating the world of product operations and ultimately finding my current path in product management within the Biometrics team at Onfido. I have a particular interest in developing and implementing strategies to combat fraud, and I am currently driving initiatives in deepfake prevention, to stay ahead of the rapidly evolving fraud landscape.
I am passionate about leveraging technology to enhance trust and security in digital interactions. Through my experiences, I’ve come to realise the invaluable overlap between seemingly disparate fields and how each step has contributed to building a solid foundation for my career.
