We are planning Intriguing talks and lots of time for conversation.
Our goal is to facilitate the conversation between people who are pushing the boundaries of what is possible, people who are starting their exploration into the field and people who are not in tech but are wondering how it will affect them.

Mandeep Soor on Funding your startup in the early stages without relying on the mythical 'friends and family'
Mandeep has secured over £1m in grants as well as funding from VC and angels. Learn how to get cash for expensive tech builds and how to bring angels along your journey to support you financially as well as business development.
Mandeep is Co-founder and CEO of Bend; a technology company that radically reduces the risk of human rights, environmental and governance risks in supply chains through 24/7 risk monitoring. Previously she spent 14 years’ in leadership positions across commercial and strategy consulting roles at the Boston Consulting Group, the British Business Bank and was Chief of Staff at the data science startup Pivigo.
Huxley Millard on Navigating the Brosphere Part 2
At the last event Huxely told us about the women who created the field of computer science and will be following that up with tips on how to have a successful career when you are not 'one of them'
Huxley is a senior developer at the Financial Times with 5 years experience working with TypeScript, React and Node. They've held a mixture of roles from full stack, front end only and back end only with a past working as a digital nomad. They love learning new things and also care about equality within tech, driving change within the organisations they work in.
Mikaela Irish on Working in Tech in Finance as a Trans Woman (it actually is getting better)
She'll give us an honest take on what it's like to be in a tech role in finance as a trans woman, both the good and what still needs work.
Mikaela is a trans woman who’s been working as a software developer in London’s finance sector since she graduated in 2005. She's had a varied career; mostly an assortment of investment banks, before her current role at BNY Mellon. Most of this was a closeted existence, until she finally came out as trans during lockdown and subsequently started transition. As a neurodivergent trans woman in tech, Mikaela feels she's had a pretty varied experience of the environment, and has seen a lot of changes in terms of culture and employee relations over the years.
